The Crown Rule (1858-1947)

Indian Councils Act 1909: Morley-Minto Reforms

Communal Separate Electorate: Introduced separate electorates for Muslims, where Muslim representatives were chosen exclusively by Muslim voters. This legalized communalism (Minto became the 'Father of Communal Electorate').
